Copied from Instagram: Mount Rainier: 3:43:50. On foot Fastest Known Time. 2:34 to the summit. With my race ski snapping and the mountain having a terrible snow year it became pretty clear this spring that I would have to pivot my focus away from the ski record and back to the on foot record. It went better than I ever could have hoped for and feels like a really long time coming. Between guiding with @rmiexpeditions on the mountain and previous speed attempts I have poured a ton into this mountain. @alexkingruns the previous FKT holder is a huge inspiration to me and it’s been a really fun project trying to chase down his time on this mountain. And even without skis for the downhill it felt really good to reach the summit in about the same time @jackkuenzle did during his ski record. Jack is more or less the top guy in the sport of speedy mountaineering and similar to Alex a constant source of inspiration. Conditions on the mountain were excellent for the run, and thanks to @jayrcolee and his fantastic coaching I felt ready for a good day. Super tired, happy and stoked rn.
