This walk is a 60-mile route, circumnavigating the city of Nottingham, and divided into 12 sections. It celebrates the villages and countryside around Nottingham, and explores its rich tapestry of local history – from the rolling hills and industrial towns of the north-west to the alluvial plains of the Trent and Soar with its small villages in the south-east.

We also have some extra suggested descriptions. They include; lots of alleyways, excellent views of the A46 and M1, brambles and stinging nettles galore, very strange smells from the industrial areas on 8 miles of canal.

A couple of thoughts:

- just because a long distance path could exist, it doesn’t mean it should.
- if you thought 26 degrees was the perfect temperature for this (nearer to) 62 mile challenge, you’d maybe consider again.
- how valuable are unstung and uncut legs anyway??

So we, without considering the above, completed the challenge today! It was a brilliant day out, I promise!
