On a nice and sunny Sunday morning, we drove to Murgtal to run the Chaisenweg. This is an ancient route connecting Bad Rotenfels and Baden-Baden that was used by horse carriages back when there were no cars. As the paths are suitable for horse carriages, it’s very easy to run, but does have a couple of bumps.
At Rotenfels Castle, the starting point of the route, we saw a group of pensioners practising nude painting with a young and pretty female nude model, which gave Chrissi all the energy he needed for the run. We set off, and I felt like Chrissi was an energetic horse pulling me up the hills all the way to Baden-Baden. The longest and steepest hill is right after the turning point going back to Bad Rotenfels, but it was mostly downhill once we’d tackled that one. It was great fun!
