What's Dahn is Dahn. (Dahner Rundwanderweg)
We hiked this beautiful trail back in December 2021 and now decided to run it as part of our trail running weekend when we were back in the region. The track loops around the hills of the town of Dahn, climbing and descending constantly on nice forest trails with great views. Halfway, after having climbed up to the iconic Jungfernsprung, the route leads you back into town and you then climb the hills on the other side of Dahn. This second section is more runnable than the first part (at least for us) and once you are up on the Sängerfelsen, it goes mostly flat with just a couple of bumps.
We had a beautiful autumn day, it was warmer than the day before, when we went running on the Hauensteiner Schusterpfad. Since we'd already knocked ourselves out on that FKT attempt, we didn't push ourselves so much and really enjoyed the (more relaxed) run.
