The described route (https://fastestknowntime.com/route/niesengrat-switzerland) ends in Lenk instead of Adelboden as I did it. The author arguments that by doing so it would be possible to do the project with public transport. But that's also possible if you go down to Adelboden! In Adelboden there is no train station but it's perfectly connected to the local bus route network. In fact the reason why I went down to Adelboden and not to Lenk was that it's much easier to do this project with public transport. Lenk is in another valley which makes it much more complicated to get back to where you started!
