Skinned from Bunny Flat to just below Helen Lake. Boot packed up to the summit. It was very cold with the wind past red banks and I stopped way too many times to adjust clothing. Was sad to not find a bootpack already set that worked for me. Side-stepped up most of the upper mountain and post-holed the upper section. Crawled through the cool little ice hole to the summit (see photo). Walked back down the summit hill to the flat section and transitioned to skiing. I usually love sketchy ice skiing, but the upper section had so much choppy rime ice and was not fun at all. The gulch ski was very, very nice and I couldn't stop grinning.
Wasn't going for an FKT, but see no women have posted one. If someone has done this faster, please post!
