We started at 7 a.m. from Ala Moana Beach. It was relatively easy running and hiking until we reached K1. From there, descending Piliwale Ridge would be a little challenging. The long, steep ridge with a sheer cliff made you feel like it was continuing forever. When we finally reached the bottom of the ridge and climbed the next peaks, Olomana 3 peaks, I reached the peak of my fatigue. Scrambling up and down Olomana peaks was not easy as well. The backside of Olomana 3rd peak was rough. We stopped by the local grocery store to take refreshments, and I finally recovered and enjoyed the run when we reached Lanikai Pillbox. Don't forget jumping in the ocean to cool off at the end.
