On July 6th at 5:45 I started the New Via Alpina route, from Trieste to Monaco.
I finished on August 12th at 8:39, with a total time of 38 days, 2 hours and 54 minutes.
The journey was solo and supported. One of my best friends Kyra supported me with her Land Rover Defender and rooftop tent, making this adventure possible.
Along the way we faced a wide range of challenges: thunderstorms, extreme weather warnings, days of relentless rain, a heatwave and car trouble.
Despite these setbacks, the journey through the Alps was unforgettable, with countless beautiful places along the way.
With Monaco finally in sight, we decided not to stop for the last night but to continue straight through, completing this adventure with a final push of 117 km with nearly 7,000 meter of elevation gain.
