Ran the route out & back starting at the parking lot on Cedar Street. The paved part was almost entirely dry. The dirt part was a little wet but it didn't soften up much which is good for keeping the pace. There is a stretch of trail around 8 miles from the start that is icy. The last half a mile before the turn around point at the bridge on Whitney Street was completely submerged. Turned around where the railroad tracks started. This is slightly different from the Tucker's one-way fkt end point but it is the same as Robyn's out & back fkt.
This is an unsupported effort. I ran solo the whole way. There were a decent number of folks walking, running, and biking on the trail. I carried about 2.5 liters of water but ended up drinking less than 1.5 liters. Ate a banana, some sport beans, Clif shot blocks, and a handful of chia seeds. Finished a little bit after sunset but didn't end up using the headlamp I brought along. This is an all around fast route with decent scenery through the marshlands. I'm sure someone can take a good chunk off this time.
