Having seen the route and FKT be achieved by the Sunday Plodders I was encouraged to give it a go.
As it is local to me I went for a fairly early start to get it done. I carried all my kit using a pair of 600ml soft flasks for fluid and mountain fuel plus a banana for energy. The first half of the route is a nice hilly up and down on footpaths with a little road. The second half is all on canal path where there are options to re supply water should it be needed. I had stashed a water drop which I picked up at mile 17.
