My local park. Went out for a jaunt and things were going well so decided to push a bit and see what time i could post. For those that love east coast technical single track with some amazing views along the way, this is a nice one. For those that like to cruise, perhaps avoid, or proceed with the knowledge that there is plenty of required hiking in here, particularly the bit out to Maiden Cliff and the ascent of Megunticook. These are all trails i have run countless times, but this was the first time i linked them all. This route can go a bit lower for sure, and i would be really interested to try different permutations of the order of the trails. I took the tact of going for the hardest part first, but given the amount of hiking required anyway in some portions, i could see flipping it and having fresh legs for the Frohock out and back (which is fully runnable). I suspect several minutes could be shaved by doing that - but who knows? Maiden Cliff portion is a haul both ways regardless - just unrelenting roots and steep climbs/descents. It's a fun one, and a bit of a puzzle!
