The Quinnipiac Trail is a part of CT's blue-blazed trail system. TThe trail starts with .7 miles of road, and then follows the Metacomet ridge to High Rock. At High Rock, the trail turns towards the east and then goes up Rocky Top near Quinnipiac University. After that it enters Sleeping Giant State Park and has a very steep climb on a rock face called "The Wall". Then it goes from west to east along the top of the Sleeping Giant. After a descent and a road crossing, there is a mostly downhill section to the other end of the trail on Hartford Turnpike. One way is 17-18 miles, and the out and back I did was 34.79 miles.
I took water from mill river (once each way) and the stream after Mount Sanford (on the way back). My photos wouldn't load to the site because they are the wrong type of file. I will eventually add them to the Strava activity.
