What a day! I started in Disley Station at the North end of the trail at 07:24, and finished in Kidsgrove at 15:00 exactly.
It's an amazing route. There were lrage herds of deer in Lyme Park, gale force winds over Sponds Hill, beautiful views from White Nancy. Killer descent down Teggs Nose, Bosley Cloud was torture but worth it, and the last slog up to Mow Cop absolutely destroyed me. I had to run/walk down the home stretch of Macclesfield Canal but what a feeling getting to the end!
This was a solo unsupported attempt. No-one ran with me for any distance, and I carried all my fluids and nutrition with me.
