Route & Conditions
We ran the Osnabrücker Ringweg with the goal of improving the existing FKT.
After a one-hour drive we arrived at the start around 07:55 and began our attempt at 08:11.
Weather and trail conditions were good; the route was fully runnable.
Resupply Points
We used public facilities for food and water:
-
km 21 – Gas station: https://maps.app.goo.gl/cSUAUh6n2juEBt7YA
-
km 36 – Restaurant (opened at 11:00): https://maps.app.goo.gl/eySFjEuJZpeWZTVC8
-
km 48 – Gas station: https://maps.app.goo.gl/eD9zgURArM4dQRPC8
Route Deviations
We had to make two small deviations from the official route, neither providing any advantage:
-
One section appears to cross a highway, which is not possible. A short detour allows you to pass underneath instead.
-
Another section was fenced off around a forest plot, so we made a short detour around it.
Experience
We enjoyed the variety along the Ringweg — a pleasant mix of natural and urban terrain with some fun, fast trails. The route is not technical and can be run at a good pace throughout. We definitely recommend it.
