Granite Mountain holds a special place in my heart. It is where I learned multi pitch traditional climbing. Dislocation specifically was one of my first trad leads. A few years into my climbing career Dislocation was one of my first ever free solos. In a way this climb has remained a test piece of competency in my climbing career. This time it was speed. I was always curious how fast the route could go car to car. So finally I gave it a go!
The route was wet so I climbed a bit slower and carefully than I normally would. I was also taking pictures to document the route for submission on the site. There is definitely room for improvement on this initial time. I plan on giving it another attempt soon!
