Started on the Devil's Path at Spruceton road around 7:45 AM after riding my bike from the Elm Ridge trailhead. Completed the Devil's Path section in a little less than 9 hours, and the Kaaterskill section in about 3 hours. Started the climb up to the Escarpment trail from 23A at dusk and completed the Escarpment entirely in the dark, finishing around 3:30 AM.
I felt like the biggest challenge of this route was the lack of available water after coming down off of Kaaterskill which was one of the reasons why I decided to run this route starting with Devil's Path. I figured it would be easier to run Escarpment in the dark with coolers temps and less risk of running out of water. The last available water I could filter was a small stream coming down off a rock before the trail turns onto 23A, I filled up my 2L bladder but by the end of Escarpment I felt like I was running low.
