A fantastic day on a new 6000er in the Atacama. Started at the obvious parking spot at 4700m, though one could drive much farther up with a strong 4x4 vehicle. Nice long runnable start and then a steep climb up to the col between Argentina and Chile. Followed the gully up to the high camp around 6000m and from there followed a faint track which goes up and traverses around to the left before climbing steeply up with a final little scramble up onto the true summit. Weather was very dicey so turned around immediately and booked it down to BC and then cut the corner back onto the big plateau and ran all the way back to the car. Forgot my phone, so no photos or entertainment, which was honestly quite refreshing.
