In August 2024, ultramarathoners from Perm, Vadim Pupkov and Yulia Anisova, started from Dyatlov Pass in order to continuously walk and run the entire Perm Territory from north to south through the mountainous part to Bashkiria for the first time in history in the format of high-speed tourism.
Along the way, they encountered the cold mountain tundra and glaciers of the Northern Urals, the highest point of the Middle Urals, Mount Oslyanka, the rocks of the Chusovaya River, the Moleb anomalous zone, and the hot Kungur forest-steppe. The route with a length of more than 1000 km was completed in 28 days.
But in addition to the sports component, the main goal of the project was to explore the track of the future Perm Trail, a marked hiking route through the region through the most interesting natural and historical sites.
