I went for this route on the first dry day after a lot of rain. Paths were somewhat muddy but still mostly runnable. Some quite steep and technical descents to the Trass Caves and into Brohl.
Overall a nice route which follows mostly the Rheinburgenweg and Quellenweg with some diversions near the caves.
