Blue bird day, a bit too hot even. I climbed the standard route, except that I went up the glacier instead of across it. Probably a slower way up all told since the rock is terrible there, but coming down that way is fast. Incredible views from the top!
I brought leopard crampons and a gully ice axe. The snow was patchy enough that I didn’t bother with the crampons (would have been like six transitions), but the axe was super useful crossing the glacier and on the steeper glissades.
Plenty of water sources, though I did run a bit low coming down from the peak. I was pretty good about nutrition this time: put down some Maurten gels, Skratch super high-carb, stroopwafels, and shot bloks.
