I had decided to give it a go for about a month. I'd run between every tram stop in sheffield and rotherham and fancied a route with more trails and views. I parked up in Crowhole and started the loop from there (time includes the extra little bit from and to the car). I set off at 11:16 and ran the route clockwise. It was a humid and warmer than expected day, leading to me taking off my waterproof and sleeves just after the initial cross over the A61. I carried 2 litres of water for the whole thing, which definitely slowed me in the latter half, and fuelled on 10 High-5 gels. During the run I got exactly what I had set off to see. Fantastic views, loads of wildlife (kestrel, squirrel in a rot hole, buzzards. I did however nearly get bitten by a farm dog (just trying to work out which farm - it is in an area where the farmer has made it really difficult to follow the public right of way).
