From the start, I carried 1L of water and refilled once from a natural source (Nielukangas lähde, 21 km in). Since the water was quite stagnant, I added purification tablets just in case. There were also several public wells marked on the official trail maps, many of them conveniently visible and right next to the trail.
Fluids: 2L total, 330 ml/h, one refill
Carbs: 374 g total, 60 g/h
Foods: 7 Jollos energy chew packs and a Maurten 320 high-carb drink mix, no caffeine.
I also carried two extra packs of Jollos and a 100 ml Maxim gel that I ended up not eating.
The day was crisp and cool, with temperatures a few degrees above freezing. The trail was mostly dry, with duckboards covering the wet areas of bog and forest. My shoes only got slightly wet a few times, but during wetter periods, parts of the route can be pretty flooded. As the frost set in during the afternoon, the duckboards became somewhat slippery, and there were a few patches of snow here and there. Despite the good weather, I only passed a handful of people along the trail.
Having set off at 12:29, I had about 3h30mins of daylight, and therefore ran almost half of the route with a headlamp (Petzl Actik Core on medium brightness). In hindsight, an earlier start would've been smarter, but the trail was incredibly beautiful also at night, with frost glistening on the bog under a clear, starry sky.
I really enjoyed the route and maintained good energy levels throughout, though it was a bit tricky to get back into a running flow after the technical, rocky sections, which were plentiful especially at the start and end. I also fell several times on slippery duckboards and rocks despite wearing grippy shoes (VJ Maxx2) and had to move a bit more cautiously than the legs would've wanted towards the end. I also missed a turn once, adding <1 km to the route.
Note: I started my FKT attempt simultaneously with Aleksei Grabtchak (male FKT attempt), but we ran in opposite directions. As a start and finish point, we chose the wooden gates next to the parking lot at the end of Sysilammentie. I ran the route counter-clockwise.
