I'm out in Portland for work and figured I'd check out this and some other local FKTs. I was feeling good when I started so I gave it a good effort on the climb and really committed on the descent.
I ran this is November so it was in the 40's at the start but within a few miles of the summit the fire road was all snow and ice, which made for some slow going.
The first and last 4.5 miles are incredibly dangerous roads with blind hills and turns, no shoulder, and cars flying down the mountain. I ran much of this section in a drainage ditch beside the road.
