Well, this was a fun one. I love Central Park, so when I checked the FKT database the night before heading to the airport after a great weekend, I noticed this little gem here and it left me a window with just enough time to secure the FKT with the most loops of 13. Of course, with a little bit more time, someone could absolutely destroy this mark, but it was nice this little window was left open for me. Brought a bag a chips with me and a water bottle.
The challenging part was this was the day after the 50th running of the New York City Marathon, and they were tearing down the finish line. This made it difficult crossing in that area, as you had to detour slightly around to the right and back on the loop, but nonetheless great times!! Mission Complete!
