We started at midnight in light rain and fog at Shi Shi Beach TH, swam the Quillayute River around 9:30 am, and arrived at the Oil City TH at 2:52 pm. We chose (what I believe to be) the best day of the year for the tides (lowest high tide) and river crossing.
A breathtaking and challenging (unsupported) run across the entire length of the longest wilderness coast in the 48 states. Oh, and we swam across the Quillayute! Previous FKT 16:42 by Ryan Stoddard and Dave Swoish. Thanks for the inspiration and beta! And thank you Apryle for all your help driving, we couldn't have done it without you!
