This route is a variation of the Cedar River Traverse from Landsburg Landing to Lake Washington except it returns to Landsburg Landing. This is a classic King County Rail Trail which travels from Landsburg Landing in Maple Valley to Lake Washington Renton or Lake Washington to Landsburg Landing. Perhaps others have completed this route, but Troy Haeseler was the first that I know of to complete the out and back from Lake Washington to Landsburg Landing and back to Lake Washington. Troy Haeseler set the initial FKT on January 31st 2022 with a time of 5:34:40. On February 27th I chose to go from Landsburg to Lake Washington and back and Troy Haeseler paced me for about 16 miles closer to from mile 9 to mile 16 and mile 19 to mile 25. It was a rainy cool day with temperatures in the mid 30s. The route is a little over 35 miles with about 666 feet of elevation gain.
