FKT: Zack Stocke - Spencer's Butte - 2024-06-26

My first FKT! I figured the SB FKT should be in the hands of a Eugenian, so I had to give it a go.

Definitely pushed, but there’s room for improvement for sure, I went down the wrong trail for about 15 seconds and had to backtrack right at the start of the run, stopped a few times for groups hikers to get by and stopped once to chuck my HR monitor into a bush. Would love to come back when the Olympic trials aren’t happening at Hayward, the trail would probably be a lot less crowded!

That being said, still a pretty good time, mad wit to the top in 31:25.5, and enjoyed the views before coming back down afterwards.
