A chilly start just after sunrise, I parked in the Ashbourne Tissington Trail car park and headed to the start point at the other end of the Ashbourne Tunnel.
A strong and relatively comfortable Half Marathon up to Parsley Hay the turn around point. Psychologically it did not feel like a downhill back to Ashbourne as my right quad became tight heading into the final 10km!
Carried my own hydration and nutrition from the start and managed to finish just before the trail got busier with sensible walkers, runners an cyclist who were not up as early!
