The 100km Horizontale Jena allows you to take in the variety of Jena and its nature: narrow trails along the sides of its mountains, as well as forest paths and crossings through the outskirts of Jena. It starts at the athletic track near the Teufelslöcher, then quickly climbs uphill, where white-red-white markings lead the way. Both directions (turning left or right after Fürstenbrunnen) are equally valid.
Since the official race (https://www.horizontale-jena.de/) is a hike and only opens its finish after 13.5h, the FKT entry allows trail runners to compete!
