Description

The Maltese archipelago consists of 3 islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino.

This route covers the perimeter of these 3 islands. The circumnavigation of Malta is almost half on trails and half on the road, there are on road on Comino thus the route is all on the trails and on Gozo one stays mostly on the trails.

The landscape varies from cliffs to sandy beaches to some urbanizes areas in the south and east of Malta. The trails are pretty technical, a lot of running on garigue but the views are spectacular.

One can cross to the other islands either by public ferry or private boat but it is also doable by swimming or on a Stand Up Paddle.
