Route: Allen Mtn (NY)

The 4340 foot Allen Mountain is located in the high peaks and is one of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks. This route is an out-and-back and leaves from the Allen/Adams parking area about 0.6 miles south of the main Upper Works trailhead. Allen is considered one of the most remote high peaks and offers a great view into Panther Gorge.

Editors note: Currently the bridge over the Opalescent River is missing in action and we encourage not to do the route after rain or when the winter ice is melting, since crossing the river can be dangerous.
