The Renaissance Ring is a fascinating 250km route surrounding Florence. The shortest route I have without detours is 130 km. You pass through historic centres, castles, parish churches and various landscapes from the river bank to the mountains. the route is of medium difficulty and crosses dirt roads, easy paths and asphalt.

Hello FKT community,

I will follow this route starting tomorrow morning, hopefully I will close the ring on Sunday, February 2nd.

I downloaded all the tracks from the official website (https://www.visittuscany.com/it/itinerari/anello-rinascimento/) to be sure to follow the most updated path.

I will start and end my walk from Pontassieve, following the path counterclockwise.

unfortunatelly I wasn't able to finish the route due to the heavy rain that came out on Friday. It was too risky to move forward. I think I will do another attempt in the next future.

According to my actual plans, tomorrow I will start for my second attempt to mark the first Unsupported FKT for this route.

Last time I had to abort my attempt due to heavy rain. This time I will face the heat, trying to push through the night to get a few ours of advantage.
Again, I will start and end my walk from Pontassieve, following the path counterclockwise.
