One of the most iconic sections of the PCT: the infamously flat and stark stretch where the trail runs along the Los Angeles Aqueduct through the Mojave Desert. Traditionally night-hiked to beat the heat, the section does showcase a certain type of desert beauty, and travels toward a major wind farm. This route is designed to have water sources at each end on an otherwise dry section, allowing it to be yo-yo'd or FKT'd unsupported more easily.
Note that the spigots at each end may be turned off per the city of LA at any time; verify the water before attempting the route. Typically, the spigots are on.
