Bestwiger Panoramaweg
The Bestwiger Panoramaweg is a scenic trail in the northern part of the german Sauerland mountain range. The circular course is about 56 kilometers long and offers about 1730 meters of ascent and descent. The route mainly follows unpaved tracks, dirtroads, single trails and some paved roads. The trail is maintained by the "Sauerland Mountain Association" (Sauerländischer Gebirgsverein, briefly "SGV"), which is an association for hiking in the Sauerland area in Germany with over 30k members. In 2011 the Bestwiger Panoramaweg was awarded as one of the highest quality trails in germany. The trail is marked in both directions with a bold white "B" inside a circle on a black background.
