Description

This starts and finishes at the junction of Main Road and Jail Lane Biggin Hill near to the green with War memorial. This route has been well signposted and the tricky spots are also nicely explained on the local government map. It begins calmly, before it manages to find every hill in the area multiple times. We are not talking gentle slopes, and the last half mile is brutal. There is beautiful meandering trails through woodland and farmland once away from the initial residential streets. You might go the entire route without seeing anyone. The sheep and horses seem happy to be disturbed, but do not get too distracted because the tree roots are waiting to catch you out. Too many stiles and gates to count add to the drama. Another lovely journey in a picturesque and historic part of the country.
