Description
- Start Laxey Promenade grid reference 442836.
- (about 4k to first cp) Turn left at the end of the Promenade, turn right over a bridge, ascend the hill, go straight over the crossroads and at 438844 turn left up an un-tarmacked lane.
- At a lane junction 439858 go straight on heading North following the grass lane then go over a style 438866 onto the fell and ascend
- (1) 396m, Slieau Ruy 441873.
- A ridge traverse is now taken at 320° (abt 700mtr) to
- (2) 452m, Slieau Ouyr 435880.
- Follow at 270° for about 1k to
- (3) 469m, Slieau Lhean 425877.
- Descend 260° to track about 400mtr, follow track round to the North and climb to
- (4) 551m, Clagh Ouyr 414889.
- Then head 45° for 1.5k to
- (5) 550m, Beinn Rein 425900,
- Continue north, 60° for about 700mtr to
- (6) 533m, Cronk-y-Chorree Farraghtyn 432904,
- and then about 80° and 1k to
- (7) 565, North Barrule 443909.
- Go back over the two previous peaks then right and descend to the road mountain box, over gate on right 412898, turn left, head for next gate 100mtr ahead is a right hand bend. There is no right of way to
- (8) 401m, Ny Nard Eys 410903.
- Head 300° to track then follow North for about 1k to Y junction. Take a small track heading 90° and follow to right of tarn:
- (9) 336, Dyn Ennym 411915,
- Double back to track then head back up for a short time until the edge of plantation, then head right 250° and keep going about 1k to
- (10) 383, Slieau Managh 396910,
- Head 300° down the hill to a house and track Ballaimish, take the track down and cross bridge onto A14 road. Head right 10° down the road for about 400m then turn left 220° up a track through the zigzag path then climb gate and follow gpx to the top..

- Head back to the track and follow south to meet the Druidale road, follow the road for about 600mtr, pass the crossroads then take the track forking right and follow this for about 1.5k, then head 270° to ascend to
- (12) 424m, Slieau Dhoo 352894.
- A ridge traverse is now taken starting on a sheep trod 230°, follow this down to a bigger track then follow this NW for about 1.5k towards the next checkpoint which is about 200mtr off the track on the left. You can find a sheep trod leading straight to it.

- The next cp is, back on the track and heading south for about 2.4k, you can see the north face of this hill on the way round, its epic!

- Looking SSW from here you should be able to see the next cp, head round and you can find another sheep trod which will take you right to it.
- (15) 454, Sartfell 334871.
- Descend 120° to the road at the corner of plantation 342867, cross road and go 180mtr along the un tarmacked road and ascend left to
- (16) 427, Slieau Maggle 346860.
- Desend 100° to the road cross it then ascend to
- (17) 399, Injebreck Hill 354858.
- Now travers the hill and Turn right along a track 373863, go through a gate 373856 and ascend to
- (18) 500m, Carraghyn 367849.
- Go back through the gate, ascend to
- (19) 544, Bheinn-y-Phott 381860,
- descend to the road junction 389858, turn left along the main road to road junction 396867 and ascend to
- (20) 621, Snaefell 398881.
- Go back to the road, cross over the road where the tram lines are, go through a gate and follow the fence to the junction with a wall 404863. Turn left along the wall for 450mtr, go to
- (21) 370, Cronk y Vaare 410864.
- and go back to the wall/ fence junction. Ascend to
- (22) 491, Mullagh Ouyr 397862,
- go 220° along the ridge to
- (23) 477, Dyn Ennym 393855
- and descend to the windy corner road at 392845.
- Cross the lane by two styles and ascend 160° to the peak of
- (24) 445m, Cronk Gerjoil y Chiarn 393841.
- A ridge traverse is now taken to the right, it fizzles out in places but keep heading in the same direction and it comes back.
- (25) 330m, Slieau Meayll 398826,
- go back along the trod and between the two humps then you should see the wall. Head through the thick heather to the corner of the wall and walk alongside side (literally 270°) for a few meters until you find the trod to a style 384826 which goes on to TT course road on a corner. Cross road, over two gates and follow trod at about 235°, there is a big stone in a clearing

- Keep headding the Same direction on the trot until it dies out then head down to the corner of the wall where there is a style climb the style then turn right and follow the path to a gate into the fields and head left down through the fields on a motorcycle path until you see the tree alone on the right, head left of that tree and you'll see the track to the river crossing. After the river crossing, head up to the gate and the farm Ballawyllin, head up through a couple of fields and get onto the road. Take a left heading south for 200mtr then take the next road right to take you back North to the corner of injebreck reservoir After 20yd take a left into a small opening and there is a gate on your right. Go through the gate and start climbing straight up through the fields to the top right corner where there is a style 352841. Climb the style and follow the wall left towards an old tholtan on the hill in front. ascend to
- (27) 380m, The Creg 346833.
- A ridge traverse is now taken 350° to
- (28) 487m, Colden 343843,
- Head 250° following the trod to the main track.
- (29) 436m, Lharghee Ruy 333833 is on the right
- Carry on along the track in the same direction to.
- (30) 479m, Slieau Ruy 328824 and
- (31) 422, Greeba 318816.
- Go back along the ridge for 600yd contour left around the west side of Slieau Ruy, go through a gate 319828, follow the wall to the wall/ hedge junction 313831, go over the hedge, turn right along the hedge for 200yd, turn left onto a track and
- (32) 311m, Beary Mountain 312833 is a few yd in front.
- Continue along the track, join an untarmacked road 303832, ascend the road to
- (33) 300m, Beary Park 298834
- Carry on up the path about 30m then left down the side of the plantation, climb over wall at the corner then follow the wall to the Dowse. Follow this to the road to 285825.
- Cross the road, take the minor road, turn left at the crossroads and go straight on at the crossroads in St John’s Village. Turn right at the next road junction, turn left along a minor road, turn right along a byway 277808 for 1 mile and turn right up a track 262798.
- After 100yd turn right along a track which ascends to
- (34) 333m, Slieau Whallian 265805,
- Continue south and back to the byway turn right and continue to the road 253798. Turn left along the road, go past the next two road junctions, cross over the main road to 264777, go through a gate onto the fell and ascend to
- (35) 483m, South Barrule 258759.
- Descend to the crossroads 247758, go straight ahead along the road, turn right along a track 241750 and
- (36) 350m, Cronk Fedjag is 100yd ahead.
- Continue up the track to the corner of point 109, pass through the two kissing gates and up to the finish of the Traverse,
- (37) 437m, Cronk ny Arrey Laa 224747.
