A wild and stunning loop along the Mediterranean coastline west of Marseille.
Starting from Le Rove, the route quickly climbs onto the limestone ridges overlooking the sea, winding above the secret coves and cliffs of Ensuès-la-Redonne, Carry-le-Rouet, and Sausset-les-Pins.
After reaching Carro, the trail follows the rugged coastline before heading inland through the rolling hills of La Couronne, Les Rouges, and Saint-Julien-les-Martigues, offering wide-open views over the Mediterranean and the Étang de Berre.
The return section crosses remote forest tracks and rocky singletrails through the backcountry, eventually reconnecting with the heights above Le Rove.
This route is demanding and varied — combining smooth trails, technical coastal sections, and fast ridge running — perfectly capturing the raw essence of southern Provence.
