Route: Buck Mountain from Lake George

A well known Lake George route, and often underestimated, Buck mountain is a great challenge for a technical trail runner looking for a tough, steady climb. The terrain varies, with hard packed sections, stream crossings, rocks and roots, exposed scrambled, all rewarded with amazing views. Just below the summit is a scrambly section that looks back at Lake George, and the true summit faces west overlooking the lake, with views of the Tongue Range, and the high peaks in the distance.
