Description

The Campsie Fells are a range of gently rolling hills in central Scotland set just 19km north of the city of Glasgow. A popular area for walking, the highest point of the range is Earl’s Seat which rises to 578m.

This route traverses the Campsies in the East-West direction.  Denny to Dumgoyne taking in Myot hill, Tomtain, Miekle Bin, Cort Ma Law, Leckit hill, Hole head, Earls seat and Dumgoyne. Terrain is road to start, then track, heather, and rough tracks throughout. Finish with a dram at the distillery.

Wow, what a fantastic route. Been looking for one across the Campsies for ages. This is exactly what I was looking for. No way I'll beat the time but can't wait to try and run it. Nice one :)

I was curious, would an FKT attempt need to follow exactly same route or can it take variations, as long as it covers the same summits (and same order) listed in the description?Â
