Description

Start at the gate on Whitney Portal Road near the Meysan Lake Trailhead. Run up the road to the the start of the Whitney Main Trail TH. Run up to Lonepine Lake. Get off the trail and start the ascent of the North Face of Candlelight Peak. Summit Candlelight Peak and then drop down into the Meysan Lake Basin. Run the Meysan Lake Trail back to the starting point.

Has anyone attempted this route at all? I’ll be in the Sierra in a few weeks and tempted to give this a go. Any beta for this route also (i.e.  difficulty, class, etc…)?
