Route: Caples Greenstone Track

Starting at the Greenstone trail head, head into the woods via the single and well established track. Loop can be attempted in either direction. For clockwise, follow this track past the Greenstone bridge, through the undulating forest and into the spectacular Caples valley floor. About 15km you will start the long and gradual climb to McKcellar Saddle (956m), after topping out here, follows a short and sharp descent into the valley floor. Pass Lake McKcellar and enter the Greenstone valley. A true classic!
