Connecting the two highest and most proud peaks in Southern Nevada. Mount Charleston to Mount Wilson is an epic route mostly on trail/road with a bit of bushwhacking to make connections. I started at North Loop Trailhead in Mount Charleston, tagged Charleston Peak (11,990'), then Griffith (11,064'), then dropped down the East side towards Harris Mountain. Picked up the Griffith Peak Trail for a bit until it ran out just past the Griffith Peak Trailhead on Harris Mountain. Continued South a bit then dropped down a ridge to Lovell Canyon wash. Bushwhacked a short bit to Griffith Shadow / Schaefer Spring Trail, then took that trail to Lovell Canyon Trailhead (5,958'), where I had stashed a re-supply of water and snacks. Once refilled I took Lovel Canyon Rd. south to Saltgrass Rd. where I had a second stash of water. Took Saltgrass east towards Mt Wilson. At the end of Saltgrass Rd. there is some unnamed trails continuing up the wash towards Mt. Wilson. Continue East eventually going up the backside of Mt. Wilson to the point (6,890'), then dropping down the grey limestone ridge headed to the red and white sandstone Mt Wilson (7,071'). After topping Mt. Wilson, I back tracked to the base of Frist Creek Canyon and dropped down that canyon eventually finishing at Red Rock Canyon Rd. (3,642').
