Admin note: Route creator Joe Stock gives this guideline: "Don't share your route track. Your word and your reputation are your evidence. Following a track removes the adventure component. Sharing your track is akin to leaving cairns. Let other people have as much fun and adventure as you did." This "no GPX" standard is at odds with our Verification requirements, and therefore we will not list FKTs for this route. They are given on Stock's site: https://www.stockalpine.com/posts/chugach-front-linkup.html You may feel free to also share your accomplishment by posting a comment here. While we don't have a gpx track for the route, we can post a file showing the 12 summit locations if someone would like to submit one.

The Chugach Front Linkup enchains the 12 highest peaks in the Front Range of the Chugach Mountains in southeast Alaska. The route is roughly 32 miles, with a huge 21,000' feet of elevation gain.
Shawn Lyons was the first to complete the linkup in 1990, in a time of 27h30m. The route wasn't repeated until 2006, when Stock and Trond Jenson broke 24 hours. To now, only 11 people are known to have completed it. Robinson had soloed the route in 22h42m in 2010, just 2 minutes over the FKT, which was held by J.T. Lindholm at 22h40m in 2008. In 2012 Abby Rideout become the first woman to complete the route, which she did with her husband Stephen Rideout in about 29 hours.

Meg Inokuma and Matt Green completed this linkup unsupported on July 14-15, 2020 with the following report:
"It was at the back of my mind to do the FR. There were sections I wanted to go for a recon, and I thought my summer was gonna end if I do all the recon trips. My friend suggested just do it and call it “a long recon”. Brilliant idea. Meanwhile, exactly two weeks ago to be specific, I asked another friend of mine if he’s interested in doing it with me and he said yes. So we did! As it’s a recon, our plan was to enjoy 24 hour hike. We slept in and started after 8am. When we watched the sun still above the horizon from Temptation and realized 24hrs was a little too much overestimate, we wished we had started a few hours earlier. Neither of us had an ideal pack and both of us carried more than twice as much food as we needed, but the view was absolutely gorgeous, and we saw many sheep throughout our route including a few of them walked towards us up to 5 feet away! We screwed up our route choice big time a couple sections, but overall it worked well and we had a blast :D. We finished in 20hrs 55min.
