Description

This section of the AT starts at the Clarks Valley parking lot on Rt 325. It is a combination of smooth ridge running and typical "Rocksylvania" rocks. There is a beaver dam at mile 12! It has several road crossings, allowing those who do it self-supported the opportunity to drop aid at multiple points. As with many sections of the AT in PA, the views are amazing - when you can look up from the rocks. The main features of this section of the AT are the remains of the historic mining villages of Rausch Gap and Yellow Springs and the nice views from Kimmel Lookout. This is part of the "PA 4 pack" series on the AT created by Kathleen Cusick and supported by Saucony Creek Brewery!
