The first part of the trail starts at the entrance of the Gran Sasso d'Italia cableway from Fonte Cerreto up to Campo Imperatore. The second part of this trail is the normal route (via normale) from the Campo Imperatore up to the occidental peak of the Corno Grande of Gran Sasso, which is at 2912 meters above see level the highest Italian mountain outside of the Alpes.
For reference, looking at the Strava segment with the same route (https://www.strava.com/segments/29112596) the overall FKT for the ascent is (at most) 2h, with 2h 30' for women. Maybe someone did it faster, but anyone claiming an FKT should at least beat those times.
As far as I can tell there is no segment for the ascent+descent, the CR holder on Strava did it in just under 4h, likely taking a break at some point.
