Description

Cove to Cove Highline is a point-to-point route across Vancouver’s North Shore mountains, beginning at the beach in Porteau Cove Provincial Park and ending at the beach in Deep Cove’s Panorama Park. The route follows the Sea-to-Sky Highway shoulder briefly before climbing onto the Howe Sound Crest Trail, traversing the North Shore alpine through major passes and ridgelines, including Crown Pass, Needle/Coliseum Col, and Fannin Ridge, then connecting into the local mountain bike trails for the final descent to Deep Cove. This route is an adaptation of the traditional Cove to Cove, extending the original concept with increased distance and ascent to create a bigger, more demanding North Shore challenge.  At 81.7 km with 6,888 m of ascent, it is a demanding, logical line that combines two of the region’s best-known mountain traverses with a classic finish on the water.
