Description

Beautiful hike in Coxheath, Cape Breton that takes you up a short, steep climb through the forest up to a clearing with exposed granite where you can see a great view of the CBRM (Cape Breton Regional Municipality).

This route uses the old climb route that's at the beginning of the main trail. Many trees are fallen onto this part of the trail which led the owners to make a clearer new trail that winds up the hill, however it is a lower grade incline than the old climb, making it less challenging.

The old trail and the new one will intercept and then take you to the "summit" where you will keep going and pass the Pittman Cabin, then take the Northern Loop. After the loop, return the way you came.
