The Dane Valley Way is a 77km route mainly following the path of the River Dane, starting at the Pavillion Gardens (Buxton Opera House) in Buxton Derbyshire and ending where the Dane flows into the River Weaver at Northwich in Cheshire.
The route was first proposed in 1970 and originally ended in Middlewich. It was extended to go to Northwich in 2013. The first half is more off road, with the second half including more road sections.
The route is waymarked (Yellow discs with letters DVW) and shown on OS maps.

Any known completions of this route? I'm tempted to have a go this summer at some point.
Jack Scott completed it in 7h:38m according to his website. Might give the route a go but no way I'd be anywhere close to that!
Now this page set up, perhaps Jack will want to log his effort on here.
