I started at Washington Dulles (IAD) arrivals gate and I used my maps google walk for directions to take me to Reagan (DCA) arrivals, then from there I went straight to Baltimore Washington international Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) arrivals to end the run .
A FKT segment was already established from Reagan to Dallas, but I wanted to add one more of the major airports that’s is our area DC metro area. DC area is known as the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia). I felt it would only be great to run all three of the major airports in one run.
The first 20-ISH miles are run on the w&od trail, then it switches to The Mount Vernon Trail. After that everything is primarily running on the roads. There was an option to run on the trail once you were in DC. I had a crew with me so I made sure to stay on the main roads to meet them at each point. You do not have to follow the GPX route precisely. If you follow your GPS directions it will turn out to give you 68-ish miles
