Staring from a small village called Blankenstein directly at the old German border the rout follows north trough the heart of two mountain ranges. First the Fichtelgebirge with stunning granite formations and dark spruce forests. Also with the highest peaks in Franconia. The the landscape changes as the route is heading into the fränkische Schweiz. Also called the Frankejura. A famous climbing area with a lot to offer for flowy single trail lovers. Stunning castles and deep valleys. The Route finally ends in Hersbruck. A typical small Franconian village with timber framed houses and medieval flair.
